MANFRED

This German-Georgian music project concert format develops a musical dialogue between two cultures: Archaic Georgian male chants, which sometimes seem sacred, then are again full of folk exuberance, combine with lively, highly virtuoso jazz.

With different musical, vocal and dance forms of expression, Samaia creates a special connection between tradition and modernity. This special evening will be interpreted as a dance by Aleksandre "Lexo" Chumburidze, one of the most important dancers in Georgia.

This creates »folklore imaginaire« in the best sense of the word.
